Job Description
Our client is looking for a financial accountant to assist their clients in unlocking and maximising the value available by utilising various R&D Tax Incentives globally. This role entails calculating, understanding and analysing the value of various innovation incentives and grants. The front-office role requires the candidate to meet with clients on an ongoing basis to achieve the necessary outcomes. This role will report to the executive management team.
Summary of duties:
• Obtain, calculate and/or analyse financial data;
• Preparation of comprehensive financial reports;
• Preparation and submission of grant applications;
• Research and product development in respect of innovation grants and incentives globally; and
• Presentation of financial reports, with presentations to EXCOs and boards of directors.
The candidate will also be a key member and work closely with the directors of the company to map out a continued growth strategy and the implantation thereof as we further expand our global reach and team size.
Qualifications and Competencies
• SAIPA accredited or eligible to register;
• Alternatively CIMA Operational level completed;
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in a finance, bookkeeping or similar field;
• Strong MS Excel skills;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Strong interpersonal skills (must have the ability to interact and liaise with senior client executives);
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client deadlines;
• Self-driven and results-orientated;
• Must have a valid driver’s license; and
• International travel may be required.
Remuneration
They are offering a competitive salary. Annual bonuses are also available.
